Managing Quality control and Quality assurance of more than 150 suppliers of METRO Brands
Food, near food and non-food category and looking after more than 1200 SKU and their
development from recipes formulation till its launch and post launch monitoring some of the major steps includes
1. Supplier assessment and selection as per METRO requirements.
2. Development of product formulation and recipes of METRO private brands for new product
development as well existing product development/improvements
3. Approval of initial samples and improvement as per METRO brands quality requirements and
customer preferences
4. Liaison with supplier for approval of production process, equipment’s,
5. Approval and development of artwork, labelling and packaging requirements with respect to
quality assurance and legal requirements.
6. Coordination and approval of Product specifications and product requirement profiles
7. Monitoring and liaison with supplier during production runs as per approved specifications to
assure that METRO and international quality and food safety standards are in compliance.
8. Product and supplier risk assessment and product monitoring planning and execution
through sensory trials, laboratory testing and product quality cycle monitoring
